Designing Program:
Canva is a great program if you do not have access to Adobe programs and you need a design for a smaller event, social media post or flyer. You can build a large ray of things quickly with Canva’s handy templates.
However, it is best for larger events, logos, business cards and large scale projects to be built in Adobe programs.
Font Resources:
Google fonts is great for finding clean and free font families (you can get bold, regular, italic, and other styles of one font easily here).
Font Squirrel is a good option for finding more artistic or display fonts.
Dafont is great for all fonts and has a lot options. To only see free options be sure to mark “100% Free” or “Free for personal use” in the tools bar.
Whatdafont allows you to reverse search a font you like from a photo if you want something similar to it.
Image Resource:
Pexels allows you to find great looking photos for free. Simply search what type of photo you are looking for and download.
Brainstorming Suggestion:
If you need help thinking up an idea for a graphic it helps to spend some time googling options. Google images will give you a broad idea of what designs exist that are similar to an event, Instagram post, or flyer you are thinking of making. Pinterest is also a great option, you will find more modern looking designs there. It always helps to send us ideas.
