I love this city. A place of history. Filled with rich commerce, athletics, but most of all, Great People. They are hardworking, optimistic and caring. Despite all the suffering, loneliness, and despair. These people have HOPE! That’s why this city is so important to me.

The church should not be apart from the culture, but it needs to be embedded in it. Love must be authentic. Hating evil and holding close to what is good. Never leaving each other and putting others above ourselves. We need to be joyful in hope, patient in suffering, and faithful in all that we do.

We need to give much to those who everyone seems to look away from. Making them family in our homes, and companions in our life.

My people, the church, haven’t always done the best job of this. We have missed the boat in the past. We have not looked out of our four walls. We have been somewhat self-centered. But we are hoping to change that!!!!

We are not focused on a building or a dress code! We are not focused on rules or regulations! What we are focused on is loving God and loving people! I guess for us what that looks like is building relationships. We are staring to have an impact on people we come in contact with. We want to meet people and build those relationships.

We have made a conscious decision not to condemn but to help people understand that they can be redeemed. We don’t ever want to forget people. We want to always find VALUE in people and to help people understand they have immense value.

We are called to seek and to save the lost. Going where others won’t. Not waiting for them to come to us. We love the flaws that separate us, because in those flaws, we find His perfect and graceful spirit.

We pray you will take this opportunity to stop by and see us at one of our campuses. We pray we will be able to serve you and walk with you through this journey we call life.
